This week I have been thinking about some family art, so thought I would take some quick pictures of pieces hanging on my wall tonight. The pictures are not the best, but give a good sense of what they are.
On one of my walls I have a picture that my older sister painted. The painting is based on a picture of one of my roses.
Above my fireplace I have a cross stich piece that was made by my Mother. The eagle is stitched on fabric that had been part of dresses owned by my 2nd and 3rd great grandmothers.
In my bathroom I have a pen and ink drawing made by me next youngest brother. It shows a man trying to get away from an alligator. A scary picture is good to have in the bathroom.
I also have another cross-stitch piece hanging up that was made by my younger sister. She has done a lot of cross-stitching over the years.
The last piece is a family coat of arms that was embroidered by my Grandma Braman. This hangs at the entrance to my home office where most of my genealogy research is carried out.
