Wednesday Image Search – Var

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘uar.’ This week I will proceed to ‘var’ as I extend the sequence.

What images will I find?

Butterfinger, Fun Size, Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups, Halloween, CandyThe first image is of some Butterfinger varieties. There are a lot of different types of candies around Halloween.

Saturday Walk, Carl Zeiss Innovation Center, Dublin, California, ConstructionThe next image is of construction on Dublin Boulevard near where our office now is.

Varenna, Lake Como, Italy, VillasHere we have a picture of Varenna, Italy on the shore of Lake Como. This was an old digital picture taken with a camera that saved pictures on floppy disks so is not so crisp. This reminds me of puzzles we put together as kids.

Place of the Skull, Golgotha, Gordon's CalvaryHere is a picture taken about ten years ago of Gordon’s Calvary in Jerusalem. It looks a lot different from when it was first proposed in the 1800’s as being the ‘place of the skull.” It has changed a lot even in the last ten years and probably didn’t even look like a skull 2000 years ago.

Neutral Density Filter, Dark Filter, Variable Filter, Eclipse Photography, Solar EclipseFinally we have a variable filter wheel that I used in constructing an eclipse viewer.

There were only a few ‘var’ pictures to choose from. I hope you enjoyed my selections.

Which is your favorite of these ‘var’ pictures?

What should I search for next?  Since I am following a series with ‘?ar’  the next one will probably be ‘war’ as it looks like I have a good selection to choose from.
