Yesterday as I was walking up to the door of the office and I saw a little lizard basking in the sun on the sidewalk. Of course I had to take a few pictures.
The lizard was crossing the sidewalk from the wetlands to a grassy area.
We have a preserved wetland area in front of our office. There are some nice signs that tell about the wildlife and plants in the area.
Here is another view and you can see that the summer heat has dried out a lot of the plants.
Now back to the lizard. Here is a closer picture of the lizard. It was no bigger than your finger.
Here is one last view of the lizard and it skitters across the sidewalk toward the grass.
I really enjoy the wildlife around our office.

I believe that is a Fence Lizard. They are a type of Iguana native to North America.
