Tonight I have been thinking about Antarctica, as this morning I heard from a friend who was on the cruise my sister and I were on many years ago.
Here are some pictures from Paradise Bay, which is the furthest south I have been.
Here is the cruise ship in Paradise Bay. It was so peaceful there and very beautiful. It was also a bit cold.
There we a lot of small icebergs in the bay.
The colors were amazing, especially the blue hues of some of the icebergs.
This was a large iceberg, and it was interesting that it had a pond of water on top of it. I was surprised that we were so close to it, but the sensors on the boat must have made sure that it was safe.
Finally we headed out of the bay and started back north toward Argentina.
Lots of memories, and I am already feeling cooler after a hot day.
