Last Tuesday I commented that I was waiting for the first agapanthus scape of the year.

It usually appears in the middle of June.

When I mowed my yard on Saturday it was a bit longer.

Tonight after getting home from work I went out to check and see if any more scapes had appeared. However, there is still only one. Perhaps with the hot weather more will appear soon. The first scape is growing longer. It will probably be about 2-3 times longer when it blooms.

I am looking forward to when it looks like this.

Will I have more scapes before the holiday weekend?
