Christmas is drawing nearer, which also means that winter will soon be here. Next Thursday is the first day of winter.

Autumn will soon be over, and most of the leaves will have fallen from the trees. Especially with the late autumn storm that is hitting us with high winds and steady rain.

I have lost several of the beautiful rose blooms from my rose bushes today with all the gusts of wind.

We have seen a lot of fog in the past couple of weeks, and will probably see a lot more after all the rain we are getting this week.

It is starting to snow back in Iowa, but there will not be any snow here, except maybe in the hills.

Winter for us in California will see scenes like this with rainbows and greening hills.
