On Friday I made my usual trip to the library and then walked over to the Community Rose Garden.

As I approached the garden I noticed that there was something missing.

I could not see any blooms on the rose bushes.

I have been used to seeing many blooms each week during my visits.

They must have just done some work cleaning up the rose bushes and removing spent blossoms. They definitely cleaned them up well.

I did find a few rose buds, but they were mostly tucked away in the lower center of the bushes.

Must not have been easy for the gardeners to get to.

It was a nice sunny day so I decided to get a shadow picture of myself.

Here you can see me on one of the walkways with a bag of books hanging off of my shoulder.

Hopefully there will be more rose blossoms next week.
