As usual now on Friday I visit the Community Rose Garden after picking up or dropping off books at the library.
Tonight I will share a few pictures I took today.
I discovered a honey bee pollinating one of the rose blooms so tried to get a good picture.
The first one was from behind with not much detail.
For the second one the bee had turned and I have a good side view of the bee with some detail. I may try to zoom in on this picture and see how much detail it has. Not tonight though as I am tired after a long week.
I like this picture with the red and white rose in focus and the other blooms fading off into the background.
This yellow rose was in the shade, so the background is darker.
We had some hot weather earlier in the week. In this picture you can see the wilted edge of the petal that was on the surface of the bud during the heat of the day.
Tomorrow I must do yard work. I have been putting it off for several weeks now and I have a small forest starting to sprout in my backyard.
What are your weekend plans?
