Most of my regular readers know that I follow The Curse of Oak Island on History Channel.
Each Tuesday night when there are new episodes I will usually be watching for the latest developments.
I enjoy the mix of mystery, history, excavation, archaeology and technology that is seen in each episode.
Will they come closer to finding the Money Pit? This week they seemed to be closing in on finding the location as they pulled up remains of a tunnel thought to be near it.
This year they have also been excavating a road leading out of the swamp up toward the Money Pit area. They have found a lot of coal scattered along the path of the road. Tonight they talked about the origin of the coal and it seems that it probably came from Europe. The research to find out a more precise origin will take some time, but there are hopes that it will shed light on where and when the coal was transported to Oak Island and who did the transporting.
Is this a significant find? Will the identification of the source of the coal help shed light on the Oak Island Mystery?
With each additional item they find from the 1700’s and before it gets more and more interesting. Will these items lead to a big discovery?
The only sure thing is that the show will continue to give just enough information to keep us hooked 🙂
There are at least five more episodes scheduled through March.
Will we get a big finale this season, or will there be another season next year?
Time will tell.
