Today was a rainy day which meant that I had to take some pictures of my roses.

After all, aren’t raindrops on roses some of our favorite things?

When I went out to pick up my newspaper this morning, this was my view. We had some nice rain over night.

I may not be going out to pick up my newspaper in the morning for much longer. The subscription rate is going up 12 more dollars a month, and I already thought it was way too high at 60 dollars a month. Because of new California laws they now have to hire the delivery people instead of them working on contract. This of course drives up the cost.

I like this picture that has not only a rose bloom but also a leaf that was caught while falling from the tree.

I really love all the raindrops on this rose blossom.

Of course raindrops also fall on rose leaves and are just as nice.

Here we have a nice combination of leaves, buds and a spent blossom. I will still have roses for quite some time.

I had planned on mowing today, but it was just too wet. It may not dry out tomorrow, so I may have to just take some time off during the day next week after it dries our to mow.
