Yesterday I went to the library for curbside pickup of a couple books I had requested. While there I decided to take a walk through the community rose garden.
The rose garden is right beside the library and I will often visit it when I pick up or return books.
I like the layout of the rose garden with the concentric walkways around the center art installation.
The rose garden was dedicated in 1990 and was a project by the Tracy Community Garden Club.
Many of the rose bushes in the garden looked like this as we have had some bad weather later. The combination of high temperatures and high winds have taken a toll on not only these roses, but the ones in my own rose garden.
However, there were some nice roses in the garden and I was able to capture a few nice images.
I like this bunch of pink roses.
I also like this rose, not sure what to call this color. Is it peach or tangerine?
In any case it has good petal formation and is very pretty.
This visit along with the fact that my sister planted some rose bushes is making me think of planting some new roses. It is maybe too late this year, but I can always start thinking of which varieties to plant.
Do you have a community rose garden where you live?
