Back to Work

After a short vacation to attend a wedding in Nebraska I was back at work this week.

sfo, waiting for shuttle, parking, airportI made it back to SFO on Tuesday evening, so didn’t get home until late. I then had to get things organized to go to work on Wednesday.

BART Train, Commute, Behind Train, Wide LoadThe traffic was not too bad on Wednesday, but on Thursday I got stuck behind a BART train on the way to work. Luckily it didn’t take too long to get around it.

Carl Zeiss Innovation Center, Construction progress, Dublin, CaliforniaOn Thursday afternoon I took a walk to the construction site near our office. They have made a lot of progress, and you can even see some of the interior walls going up.

sausage on grill, picnic, Friday LunchOn Friday I went to the park for a picnic with some of my colleagues. Since I work for a German company we called it Oktoberfest in the park. That meant that we had to have sausage.

sausage, salmon, bread, Indian food, Oktoberfest, parkThe group I was with come from diverse cultures and we had a nice mix of side dishes.

I had a good time visiting with colleagues and watching some of them play volleyball and other games.

A nice end to a busy week.
