Today I took my return flight from PVG (Pudong International Airport, Shanghai, China) to SFO (San Francisco International). See SFO to PVG for my flight to Shanghai.
It has been quite a long day as it has been more than 38 hours since Saturday began for me.
Since I crossed the International Date Line I arrived in San Francisco before I left Shanghai.
The day started with a relaxing breakfast at the hotel and then a taxi ride to the airport. After a quick stop in the Air China lounge it was time to head out to the gate. Here you see the United 787 that I flew home on.
It was nice to have an upgrade for the flight. All that flying through the years is finally paying off as I am usually near the top of the upgrade list when I am upgrade eligible and have an upgrade remaining.
It is nice not to be asked for a second choice when the meal order is taken. Priority for meals is partly based on lifetime miles which I have a few of.
I had a nice beef and potatoes dinner.
For dessert I had some ice cream, a tart and cheese and crackers.
The cheese was really nice, but would have been nicer if it also included some blue cheese. It usually does.
The flight was almost an hour early and it was nice to see a view like this while waiting for the parking shuttle. I had already picked up my car and was headed home before the scheduled landing time.
Today I have napped a bit, did some shopping and two loads of laundry. Now to see if I can get a good night of sleep to help combat the jet lag.
Good to be home for a couple weeks.
