Friday, January 26 is National Chocolate Cake Day, so I will celebrate with Dark Chocolate Raspberry CupCakes.
This year, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Hostess has again brought Dark Chocolate Raspberry CupCakes to the store shelves.
The box has changed from last year, but not much.
If you want just a little bit of chocolate cake to celebrate, this is a good choice.
You can definitely tell that they are Hostess CupCakes by the ‘Original Squiggle’.
The first cake did not come out of the wrapper too well, but then again the frosting is very moist and is easily marred.
Yum, doesn’t this look really good? I may just have to have one before I go to bed tonight.
Or, should I wait until tomorrow?
I think that the raspberry flavor is a bit stronger this year than last year. I remember it being more balanced last year. But then again, raspberry is not one of my favorite flavors so I may be a bit biased 🙂

What a great excuse to have chocolate cake! Thanks for the celebration/designation information! I eat chocolate something almost everyday. I am currently eating a grain-free diet, and I get creative about cake. I make a Flaxmeal chocolate mug cake, one serving, in the microwave. I also make almond butter brownies. I got some dark Italian cocoa powder as a Christmas gift that ups my flavor sensation!
