Tonight I want to share a few pictures of storm clouds that I took last Saturday.

I will start with this fluffy white stack of clouds. They are nicely contrasted with the Eucalyptus trees in front and the beautiful blue sky.

You can also see the moon up above the clouds. The clouds were a bit menacing, but beautiful.

About an hour later I took another picture to the east. This looks like a sunset, but the color is actually the sun reflecting off of the clouds.

Here is another picture showing the moon up above the clouds. The clouds are so beautiful with the sun reflecting off of them. It is amazing that they had so much color.

After mowing my lawn I took another picture of the clouds. By this time the bright colors had disappeared. Instead the clouds had a weird purplish tint to them.

Unfortunately the clouds passed off to the east and we didn’t get any more rain.

However, we did get a lot of rain the day before. Any amount of moisture is welcome this year as it has been very dry here in California for the last two rainy seasons. I just looked at the long range forecast and it looks like we might get rain again in about two weeks.

Clouds like this make me miss the big thunderstorms that roll through the Kansas prairies each summer.
