Dragon Pearl

Tonight my students and I went out to dinner along with the service manager.

We went to an interesting restaurant that I have been to several times before.

Dragon Pearl, Buffet Restaurant, Asian Food, York Mills, Toronto, CanadaThe Dragon Mill is just off of York Mills Road across the street from my hotel.

When you look at the exterior you would imagine that this would be a Chinese restaurant. However, it is much more as the buffet selection is very extensive and ranges from Chinese, Thai, Japanese and other Asian countries.

Dragon Pearl Buffet, Oval Table, Ancient Ship Wood, Asian Buffet, Asian CuisineThe decor of the restaurant is also very interesting. Here the hostess is preparing our table for us.

Our table is one of the group tables known as the Oval table. The table and the unique high back chairs are made from beautiful old ship wood. Look how tall the backs of the chairs are.

They have several other unique tables in the restaurant, including two that are located on small ship decks.

Chinese Soup, Hot and Sour Soup, Chinese Cuisine, Dragon Pearl, TorontoI started off my meal with a nice bowl of hot and sour soup. The soup was delicious and I almost went back for seconds.

Dragon Pearl Buffet, Asian Cuisine, Chinese Food, Salad, York MillsNext up were salad selections along with several different varieties of shrimp.

Dragon Pearl Buffet, Chines Cuisine, Meat Dishes, Chinese BuffetThen it was time for some meat dishes. They had such a great variety of meat dishes that I was only able to sample about a quarter of them. I also had to pass up on the vast array of sushi dishes. I needed to save some room for what came next.

Ice Cream, Strawberry Ice Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream, Dragon Pearl Buffet, DessertI ended my meal with a couple little bowls of ice cream. They have really good ice cream on their dessert buffet and I knew that I would want to try more than one flavor. Of course I had to have my favorite Vanilla, but I also had some delicious Strawberry ice cream.

We then sat and talked for quite a while before a round of coffee and tea.

Altogether a very nice evening out with my students.

A nice treat for them before the test tomorrow 🙂

Steven
