This week I have been remembering my 2012 trip to Israel.
One of the members of the group I traveled with, Barry Britnell, is currently leading a group on a tour and visiting many of the same places. I have been following his daily posts at: Exploring Bible Lands
The pictures that he posts have brought back memories of my own, so here are a few of my favorites along with links to what I wrote about my travels.
Our first night in Israel was at Netanya where we witnessed a beautiful sunset over the Mediterranean Sea just as we arrived.

The next day we journeyed from the Mediterranean Sea to the Sea of Galilee, with stops along the way. The picture above shows a boat on the Sea of Galilee just as the sun is starting to set.

We spent the next day exploring the area north of Galilee. The picture above is from one of my favorite spots, Tel Hazor. This pictures shows the city gates.

The next day we took a cruise on the Sea of Galilee and also visited more sites in the Galilee area. In the picture above you can see the boat as it approached the dock at the hotel to pick us up.
For my post from that day click on: Galilee Sea
Today Barry’s group is taking the cruise on the Galilee, so I will end the sharing of my memories here. Perhaps in a few days I will post another memory post as I see more pictures that bring them back.

If you haven’t been on a tour of Israel, I definitely recommend it.
