Summer Down Under

I have made it to Sydney.

After a long flight and a journey through customs and baggage claim I was met by my driver.

We had a nice drive to the hotel, which is one of my homes away from home. I think that at the end of this trip I will have spent around 100 nights at this hotel. It is nice to be in a familiar place after a long journey.

After a quick shower to freshen up, I walked to church services.

Summer in Australia - Summer Down Under - Australian ParkAlong the way I took a few pictures, but didn’t have time to stop for the details. I already have a few spots where I want to stop again when I have more time.

Here is a picture at one of the parks along the way.

Australia Summer - Creek in Park - North Ryde ParkThere is a beautiful path that follows this stream. I have hiked part of this trail before and there is a good chance I will again on this trip.

Macquarie Church of Christ - North Ryde, NSW, Australia - Large treeI finally made it to my destination. I really like the huge tree that is behind the church building.

The temperatures were near 80 degrees during the walk, so the long walk got a little warm.

I was so glad to see my friends. Some of whom I have known for almost 10 years.

After services it was off to lunch, but that is another post. I will make another post later this evening to get on a schedule where I can spend more time on my daily posts.

Any guesses as to where I went to lunch?
