It is almost time for me to visit one of my favorite zoos again.
One of my plans for next month is to visit the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia. The view from the zoo is spectacular and of course they have great animal exhibits as well.
I really like the artificial mountain that was created for the Himalayan Tahr. You can see a closeup in my post: Zoo with a View
I also took some great pictures of birds during my last visit there: Taronga Zoo Birds
The picture above is one of my favorite shots of an Indian Peacock (Pavo christatus) from the Taronga Zoo. You can see another picture in my post Colorful Birds.
The Taronga Zoo also has a lot of native Australian animals, including some great kangaroos. I really like this picture. This one is just chilling out.
This picture is one of my favorite elephant pictures. There is so much that I like about this picture. The wrinkled skin, the eye that looks shrouded in mystery and the elephant getting a drink from a spray of water. It is also interesting to see the mouth fully open.
Here is one more view from the zoo. Here you have a nice view of the Sydney Harbour. You can see both the Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House.
Finally, one last link to my favorite picture from the Taronga Zoo:
The post also has more links to pictures that I took at the Taronga Zoo.
Look for more pictures from the Zoo next month.
What is your favorite animal to see at the zoo? Perhaps I can take a picture especially for you.
