Today is the first day of summer. A day that begins the favorite season for many of you.

Perhaps many of you will be taking a summer vacation. I wrote a post a year ago about Summer Vacation. Click on the link to see what I wrote last year in one of my first posts to the blog.

Maybe the beach will be your summertime destination.

This picture is from February, but it was summer where I took it. I have always loved this picture as it is very peaceful and makes me think of sitting by the water reading a book.

Summertime also brings fireworks with our celebration of Independence Day.

Our perhaps summer just means watching a lot of baseball.

Forget about those indoor sports, summertime is a time to play ball outdoors. At least the NBA playoffs ended before summer began. The NHL is still plodding on for another week. Sports played on ice should not be played in the summer.
