Snowy Sunday

This weekend I am up near Groveland visiting friends. There is no snow on the ground in Groveland, but you can see it on the mountains in the distance.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t focus on the snow but I like the nicely focused branch with the snow behind it.

This morning I preached in Groveland and then we came back to the house for lunch.

As we were getting ready for a trip to Coulterville, I was watching woodpeckers in a tree.

I love the little red heads of the woodpeckers. I also like their profile and the white patches on their wings when they fly, but could not capture any shots of them in flight.

The pictures from Coulterville will have to wait for a future post, but for now I want to share one I took from the car on the way back.

On our way to Coulterville, we drove through an area that was at a slightly higher elevation, so we had snow along the road. Snow can be beautiful if you don’t have to drive through it.

I hope everyone enjoys the last day of the year.

Looks pretty there. I used to see a lot of woodpeckers in our yard in the country. Sometimes they’d know on the house which was a little much…it was always early morning. We had a Lindel Cedar Home, maybe they thought they were on a tree. Have a wonderful trip, Happy New Year!
