Today was the first day of a two day team-building event that I am attending.
It was a rainy day, so most of the day was spent indoors. That doesn’t mean that I wasn’t able to get a couple good nature shots. The club house at the golf course we were at had large glass windows with a great view of part of the golf course. It was a great view, but what caught my eye was a pair of hawks.
I was trying to get a good shot of one of the hawks as it was soaring just outside the windows.
I was able to get one pretty clear shot of one of the hawks. The photo is a bit blurry, but you can tell that this is a Red Tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis).
I was still trying to get a shot of the hawk soaring when all of a sudden it landed on the roof just above where I was standing just inside the window. I pointed my camera skyward.
I then zoomed in for a close up of the hawk and was able to get this nice picture.
We also took a nice walk along tree-lined sidewalks after the rain stopped. The sidewalks were covered with red leaves of different colors. Unfortunately I was unable to take pictures during the walk. You will just have to imagine how beautiful it was :-).
I hope you enjoyed the pictures of this beautiful Red Tailed Hawk.

It was awful nice of that hawk to land just above you! interesting perspective.
That’s so awesome…what do you think drew him (her) to the window. Wild! So much prettier than a wild turkey. I used to love those team building days, sounds like a nice place. It seems like that hawk is looking right at you.
That last photo is really neat – he looks like a dragon…
The last shot is priceless!!!
