This week I have been in Groveland, California. One of my friends has been manning a booth at a craft show downtown. We stopped by to visit the craft show yesterday. I decided to take a short walk around town to capture a few pictures.

The old Groveland Jail caught my eye. Especially because of the beautiful trees beside it.

By the door of the jail there was a nice planter with more fall color. The interior of the jail was interesting and I may share a few pictures later if I write a post about the history of the jail. For now you just get the fall colors. The main reason that I took a closer look at the jail is that I wanted to capture a few pictures of the beautiful leaves on the tree next to it.
The leaves were really pretty with the sun behind them lighting them up.
I really like this picture that I took of this leaf. The ground below was littered with many leaves and I am sure that it will only be a very short time before the rest of them on the tree will join them.
I hope you enjoyed this little bit of fall color.

How pretty. I wish we got to enjoy fall longer, winter came far too early for us. I was going to go to a craft show today too, but the parking lot and street were jam packed so we didn’t stop…I’m sure the vendors were happy for that. Hope your friend did well too. That’s a pretty little jail, mustn’t have been too much crime back when.
The jail dates from the end of the 19th century :-). Justice was quick then.
The pictures are lovely. Like Boomdeeadda, I’m slightly jealous that the fall colors are still so nice in California. It’s feeling like winter here.
As I drive around near where I live and near my office it is so beautiful. So many reds and yellows to appreciate.
Love autumn colors. Thanks!!
