Tonight I went to a costume party. As usual, my costume was not much to talk about. I dug through my closet and found my graduation gown and then used some Glue Spiking gel and made my hair sort of stand straight up. In any case, my hair had a lot more volume. I described myself as a mad professor or scientist.
I was so glad when I got home and was able to wash the gunk out of my hair. I felt like I had not washed my hair for a month. It was horrid. I will probably donate the rest of the gel to one of the mothers who spikes the hair of their kids.
No pictures of my costume :-). It was not worth looking at. I will share one costume picture later in the post.
It was a fun party with a lot of activities.
Everyone had a lot of fun with the activities. The Donut Eating Contest was a lot of fun to watch. Donuts were hung with fishing line from a pole and the participants had to see how fast they could eat them with their hands tied behind their backs. The Pie Eating Contest was similar except they were trying to find a gummy worm in a whipped cream pie. It was an absolute mess.
There were some really good treats to eat and also some that looked really cool. Unfortunately, my camera did not catch a picture of the cool little witch hats made with fudge striped cookies and chocolate kisses or the cool marshmallow treats. There were also some really good red velvet cake balls on a stick.
There were also some neat decorations.
Of course the World Series game was also on and several of us spent time watching the game between other activities. Another giant win for the Giants!
There were a lot of neat costumes tonight. We had a clown, a construction worker, Darth Vader,ย a witch, skeletons, princesses, lady bugs, Rosie the Riveter and a whole family of Waldos. We did not have a hard time finding Waldo tonight as there were five of them running around the party.
However, my favorite costume of the night was:
Two of my friends came as Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler of the Big Bang Theory. I think they really pulled off the look with their costumes. Unfortunately they did not win the costume contest although they did get my vote :-). One of the people determining the winner thought the costume for Sheldon was lacking as he was just wearing a tee shirt. I think they got the look down just right.
Altogether a fun night.

I did see your nerd post yesterday and left a message ๐ Bazinga!
I will keep an eye out and if any of my friends post a good picture of me in costume, I will share it.
