Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I continued the new sequence with ‘cot’. This week I will search for ‘dot’, ‘eot’ and ‘got’. There will be some gaps in this ‘*ot’ sequence, including ‘aot’, as not all combinations will find images.

I decided to put a couple searches together this week.

What images will I find?

The first image is a set of books by the historian Herodotus. Someday I will get around to reading them. Perhaps some day when I am not thinking about the Roman Empire, but the Greek Empire.

Next is a shot of a package from Calendars dot com. I get my calendars from them each year. It is time to order again soon.

Here is a picture from Teotihuacan in Mexico. I have  not seen the Pyramids in Egypt, but I have seen the Piramides in Mexico.

Here is a puzzle I put together of American Gothic. The house is not far from where I grew up in Iowa.

Finally we have the cover of the book The Forgotten Daughter by Caroline Dale Snedeker. I read this as part of my Newbery book challenge. This book makes me think of the Roman Empire as it is set in a villa near Rome.

There were only a few ‘dot’, ‘eot’ and ‘got’ images to choose from, and none from ‘fot’.  I hope you like the selections that I made.

Which is your favorite of these pictures?

What should I search for next? I will probably continue with the ‘*ot” series even though I need to skip some instances since there are few or no images for some of them, or perhaps bundle some together like I did this week.
