Digging in a Temple

Today in the news there have been articles about a Canaanite Temple that was found at Lachish in Israel. Below is a link to an article in Arutz Sheva.

Several years ago I spent a couple of weeks digging in the temple that was found.

It is really cool to see something in the news that you have been part of.

The paper is very detailed and includes a lot of pictures and drawings. The drawing above is by J. Rosenberg. It is always fascinating to watch him work when he has visited the sites where I have worked. His drawing is very detailed and he does a lot of work taking measurements to make sure all the objects are placed properly. Just seeing the drawing above brings back memories of watching him work.

Pink Sunset

Tonight I walked into my kitchen and saw that the sky was turning pink.

I decided to go out in my front yard and take some pictures.trees, silhouete, pink sunset, colorful sunsetTo the west the clouds in the sky were pink.

back set, sunset, pink sky, duskHere is the view back to the east. I like to call this a backset when the sky to the east is colorful at sunset. I also like the high flying birds in this picture.

It was a beautiful sunset tonight.
