A Taste of Home

Often when I travel internationally I will have one meal at McDonald’s. Sometimes you just want a taste of home and know what you are getting. With McDonald’s it tastes pretty much the same wherever you are.

I was out taking a walk and finding the hotel where I stayed 20 years ago while I was here in Bangkok. As I got close to the location I saw the Golden Arches across the road and decided that tonight was the Taste of Home night.McDonalds, Bangkok, Thailand, Taste of Home, Big Mac, Fries

Luckily they had ordering kiosks that were in English. I was able to easily choose a Big Mac Combo.

My food was soon delivered to my table where I was reading a book.

The Big Mac looked just like the ones every else in the world and tasted the same.

I enjoyed the fries that looked and tasted the same. I always enjoy the fries since I have been eating them since I was a kid.

I eat at McDonald’s more often when I travel abroad than when I am at home. I am trying to think of the last time that I ate at one near home.

Training Up High

This week I have been conducting a training course on an upper floor of a skyscraper in Bangkok. It is the highest floor where I have ever conducted training.

The building is the Cyber World Tower A. It is interesting everyday to take the elevator so high up. The office is about ten floors from the top.

It is interesting to look down on other tall buildings.

I can’t see my hotel from the office as there are other buildings in the way, however I can see the road that it is on.

You can not see it too well, but in the center of the skyline is the famous Elephant Building. We can see the building from where we eat lunch each day.

It is also interesting to look down on a field in the middle of the city. Today I observed a man working in the field before it started raining.

It is really interesting to watch the rain fall from above. Especially if it is really coming down.
