Throwback Thursday – Thailand

Tonight I decided to share some pictures of Thailand from then and now.

Bangkok Thailand, metro system, swing, construction, reclining BuddhaThe pictures from 20 years ago were taken with a camera that saved the pictures on floppy disks.

Here is a picture of the large reclining Buddha in Bangkok.

Bangkok, flower market, temples, big swing, reclining buddhaHere is a picture from earlier this month. This is an interesting statue.

Bangkok Thailand, metro system, swing, construction, reclining BuddhaHere is a picture of the Giant Swing in Bangkok. I took this one while riding in a Tuk Tuk.

Bangkok, flower market, temples, big swing, reclining buddhaHere is the Giant Swing today. I walked to the location this time, so had the freedom to take a lot of pictures from different angles.

Perhaps I should try and find one taken from about the same place 🙂

Not tonight though as I am tired and want to watch Lego Masters before heading to bed.

Wednesday Image Search – Iot

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I continued the new sequence with ‘hot’. This week I will search for ‘iot’. There will be some gaps in this ‘*ot’ sequence, including ‘aot’, as not all combinations will find images.

What images will I find?

Scioto Township, Delaware County, Ohio, Licking County, Newark OH, Virtual Hike, Christian BurgeThe first image is a courthouse in Ohio near Scioto Township. This was part of one of my Virtual Hike posts.

Star Spangled CupCakes, Hostess Snack Cakes, Squiggle, Holiday, 4th of JulyNext is a box of Patriotic CupCakes from Hostess.

The Idiot, Elif Batuman, Pulitzer Finalist 2018Here is the cover of a book I read. The Idiot by Elif Batuman.

Death of a Patriot, Don Gutteridge, Marc Edwards Mystery, Canada, MysteryHere is another book. Death of a Patriot by Don Gutteridge. This one is set in the War of 1812.

Cypriot Ware, Israel MuseumFinally we have my favorite image from this search. Here is a collection of Cypriot Ware pottery from the Israel Museum. I found a handle from a piece of Cypriot Ware on my first dig. Notice the triangle shaped handle on the right.

There were not very many ‘iot’ images to choose from.  I hope you like the selections that I found.

Which is your favorite of these pictures?

What should I search for next? I will probably continue with the ‘*ot” series even though I need to skip some instances since there are few or no images for some of them, or perhaps I will bundle some together like I did recently.
