Tonight I am watching Lego Masters and thinking about how cool it would be to see a competition featuring Ankerstein builders.
What cool structures would they build by just staking stones on top of each other? Can you believe that this structure was build with out any connecting parts. It is simply stacked stones.
Here was one of the first structures made with Ankerstein that I saw. It was at an exhibition in Jena, Germany and what introduced me to this interesting hobby.
Most of the structures that I have built have been to a plan, but many of them have been challenging. Especially when you have to balance stones over empty space.
Town Gate
Building with Ankerstein can be very challenging as it takes good hand/eye coordination. It also can require a steady hand to stack the stones.
I also like my mosaic stones that can be used to make floor designs for a structure.
A lot of memories while watching the Lego Masters show, but not of building with Lego.
