Wednesday Word Search – Watermelon

Welcome to another Wednesday Word Search where I pick a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last time I searched for ‘hat’ but this time there is no connection to what I search for this week.

Yesterday I shared a picture of me eating something and have been thinking about it.

The word for tonight is: Watermelon

What images will I find?

Eating Watermelon, Watermelon Break, Archaeology, Lachish, Israel, DigHere is the picture that I shared yesterday. Watermelon break was one of my favorite times when on an archaeological dig in Israel.

Eating Watermelon, Barrell Springs Ranch, Lamar, Colorado, WatermelonI love the great big piece of watermelon that my great great-aunt Florine’s daughter is eating in this picture. She looks like she is showing her cousin the proper technique for eating watermelon.

Watermelon Art, China, Shanghai, Food Art, Chinese FoodThis picture is from a long ago trip to Shanghai in 2000. I really like the food carving pieces that show up on the table in Asia. Here we have a carved watermelon full of fish soup.

Watermelons with stems, Shanghai Fruit VendorThis picture is also from a trip to Shanghai. I discovered these watermelons in a fruit shop. Notice the long stems that each of them have.

Rooibos tea, Watermelon, Mint, tea, red teaHow about some Watermelon and Mint flavored Rooibos tea that I picked up in South Africa.

I have a few more images for ‘watermelon’ but my usual number to share is five, so I will bring this to a close.

These images for ‘watermelon’ show that it is popular around the world.

Which is your favorite ‘watermelon’ picture?

What should I search for next? It will probably depend on where my mind is wandering next time.

Digging in the Dirt

After horribly hot temperatures over the weekend and the return to commuting I have decided that I would much rather be digging in the dirt in Israel right now.

Unfortunately, since we are so far behind after the pandemic this was not possible this year.

Too tired to write, so here are some dig memories.
