Wednesday Word Search – Tat

Welcome to another Wednesday Word Search where I pick a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Awhile back I searched for ‘hat’ and ‘bat’ so started a theme of ‘?at’ words. Last time I searched for ‘sat’ so will continue on.

The word for tonight is: tat

Tat should be interesting. The string ‘tat’ is in some interesting words.

What images will I find?

Ottumwa, Iowa, Falcon, Station Wagon, MemoriesWith the first image I will head back in time to my siblings hanging out in the back of our Falcon station wagon.

California Poppy - Eschscholzia californica - The State Flower of CaliforniaFor the next image here is one of my favorite photos of the State flower of California, the California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica).

Sunrise at the station, weimar, germanyAnother favorite image, this was taken early one morning at the Weimar, Germany train station on the way back home from a trip to Germany.

Kansas state track, 3200 meter relay, 2 mile relay, track and fieldHere is our relay team that made it to the State Track Meet my Senior year in High School.

Sweet Potato Fries, Waffle Cut Fries, Waffle Cut Sweet Potato Fries, BBQ LunchFinally we have a picture of some sweet potato fries at a BBQ restaurant.

These images show that ‘tat’ is found in some interesting words. Station, state, statue and potato gave me many images to choose from, but I didn’t choose any statues this time.

Which is your favorite ‘tat’ picture?

What should I search for next? I will probably continue with the next ?at word.   I took a quick look and there are just a few images for ‘uat’ to choose from.

In the Spoils at Oak Island

Season 9 of The Curse of Oak Island is well underway. The episode tonight was interesting as they showed more of the search through the old spoils of early digs.Curse of Oak Island, History Channel, Did they find anything? One interesting contrast was finding two beams. One had two metal spikes in it and the other had dowel holes. The one with dowel holes would have been much earlier and perhaps part of the original money pit.

oak Island, Money Pit, Mahone BayAnother interesting find came perhaps from under the spoils. They found a trace of a rock road coming from the swamp in a place where one was shown on an old ariel photograph.

Oak Island, Money Pit, National Geographic, Curse of Oak IslandThe drilling survey in the Money Pit area has continued and is finding interesting evidence about the old tunnels. Bits and pieces of old timber is showing up and they are busy piecing together the location of tunnels.

They also talked about the next steps after completing the survey. The plan is to use very large cans to excavate 10 foot wide holes at the most promising spots.

Curse of Oak Island, Mahone Bay, Nova ScotiaTonight they also revisited the old French map and showed that the pointers from the text may have been pointing other than where they thought. They then showed a magnetometer survey of the island that showed a hit in what they said was the ‘hatch’ location. It seemed that perhaps this segment was filmed before the second one as there are some contradictions in terminology.

oak island, curse of oak lsland, satellite, money pitThe preview for the next episode shows more excitement of finds in the drilling program, including a possible chamber. I would expect there will also be some updates on the finds within the spoils, and more evidence to support the old French map.
