Late October Rose Blooms

Today after dropping off and picking up books at the library I visited the rose garden.

Tracy community rose garden, roses, OctoberThere are some interesting rose bushes, and I wish they had the names on them. I am thinking of getting some new bushes next spring and am trying to decide what ones to get.

But, do I have room for more?

Virtual Hike to Errol, New Hampshire

The next destination on my Virtual Hike was Errol, New Hampshire.

The previous destination on my virtual hike was Rangeley, Maine.

Errol New Hampshire, Virtual Hike, Maine, Wilderness, LakesThe virtual hike from Rangeley to Errol went through a lake area and the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge.

Errol New Hampshire, Virtual Hike, Maine, Wilderness, LakesThe roads were definitely much better with more traffic. Here we see a large truck. This is an area with a lot of logging.

Errol New Hampshire, Virtual Hike, Maine, Wilderness, LakesThe route did  not go close enough to the lakes for great views, but you crossed the rivers that fed the lakes so saw a lot of water.

I can just image this at the time of year where the trees are changing color.

Errol New Hampshire, Virtual Hike, Maine, Wilderness, LakesAs I neared Errol I crossed the state line into New Hampshire. This was a great view with the mountain looming in the distance. I wanted a closeup of the welcome sign, but Google Street View obscured the wording on the sign.

Errol New Hampshire, Virtual Hike, Maine, Wilderness, LakesI finally reached Errol which is a small town of only about 300 residents.

You can tell that they are getting ready for winter with all the snowmobiles

I have been setting shorter distances between destinations for better motivation for my daily walking and so far it has been working. I have been walking more each day and have made good progress on my Virtual Hike. I am actually a few stops behind on my posts.

This will be the only stop in New Hampshire since it is not very wide this far north. Next up is to cross Vermont and then on to a special destination in New York.
