Wednesday Image Search – Ous

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

After searching for โ€˜thanksโ€™ last week, I will search for โ€˜ousโ€™ this week.

What images will I find?

There were quite a few ‘ous’ pictures to choose from. I hope you enjoyed my selection.

Which is your favorite of these ‘ous’ pictures?

What should I search for next?ย  I will probably go with ‘pus’. There are not too many images, but I might have enough.

Oak Island – The Garden Shaft

Season 10 of The Curse of Oak Island is off to a good start.

This week on Oak Island there was a lot about the Garden Shaft. There were hints about it last week, but now there is evidence that the shaft is connected to other underground structures.

Curse of Oak Island, History Channel, Did they find anything?Of course, one thing to remember is that the dig season is already over. They have taken the time to determine how to present things each week to build suspense and keep viewers tuned in.

oak Island, Money Pit, Mahone BayThey also continued to drill bore holes in the Money Pit area looking for shafts and tunnels. They are following a tunnel toward the Garden Shaft. During the drilling of a shaft near the Garden shaft, bubbles started coming up and generated some excitement.

They collected some water from where the bubbles were coming up to test for evidence of gold. They also collected water from the bore hole for analysis.

Late in the episode they talked about a rehabilitation program for the Garden Shaft that will allow them to go underground in their quest for the source of the gold in the water.

Curse of Oak Island, Mahone Bay, Nova ScotiaThey took a look at the jewelry piece they found in the episode last week. It was found that it was a cloak pin with a glass jewel. This is an older technology which dates back before the money pit was found.

The small rectangular metal piece found in the season premier was looked at and it is possibly a barter piece that dates back more that 500 years.

oak island, curse of oak lsland, satellite, money pitThey also did some more metal detecting and found an interesting piece of metal. They think it may be a piece of bell metal which can be used to create cannons or guns.

They also found some small metal tubes that may have something inside of them.

It will be interesting to see what these items are. It is nice that they have new imaging equipment to use to get more detail.

A LIDAR program was also started to get images of the island.

In the preview of the next episode they showed some results of the LIDAR scans and also the beginning of the rehabilitation program for the Garden shaft.

It looks like things will get interesting next week. However it will be a multi-month project to rehabilitate the shaft so probably not too much will be shown in the next couple of weeks.

What will happen next?
