The Curse of Oak Island season 11 continues with finding of new items, but also some delays.

They do plan on continuing the program to stop the water issues, but it will take some time.

They also showed the finding of a small glass bead in the circular structure that is very old.

They  took a look at the chain and other objects found in the the area by the edge of the swamp. The chain may be from as early as the 1500’s and would be used to move large objects. However, part of the chain is much more recent.

A large metal object that they thought might me a fastener was a tool used to counterpunch nails.

They showed processed images of the interior of Aladdin’s Cave which could show evidence of man made structures. There may be an entrance and an exit to the cave. The sonar images were quite interesting and give a good idea of the size of the void.

In the preview for next week they showed the finding of a buried wood structure near the edge of the swamp. They also must have sunk another bore hole as they were excited that the found the void at the right depth. They mentioned the original Money Pit and it sounds like perhaps Aladdin’s Cave may be connected.

Some interesting developments this week as they continue to hunt for the slippery treasure.

Toy Memories

Earlier today I ran across a video about the Easy Bake Oven.

girl toys, musical train, birthday gifts, easy bake ovenI remembered this picture of the Easy Bake Oven that my sister had. I remember some interesting food from this oven.

50s toys, etch a sketch, mr. potato head, toysI ran across this display on one of my trips to the San Francisco Airport. Of these my biggest memories are of the Etch A Sketch. I saw one at Hobby Lobby today and thought about buying one. I remember getting one when I was in the hospital when I was little.

I also remember the Mr. Potato Head. Did you know that the original Mr. Potato Head did not include a body? You were supposed to supply the potato or another vegetable.

girl toys, musical train, birthday gifts, easy bake ovenI also remember this bouncy horse. We had a lot of fun with it.

birthday cake, lincoln logs, wagon, play dough, overallsI also have great memories of Lincoln Logs. I used to build some neat structures.

Birthday Gifts - Car Transport - 70's Toys - Happy Birthday - Metal ToysHere is another picture that brings back a lot of memories. I just took a break from writing this and dug out the box that has this car carrier in it. I still have the three vans like the one sitting on top of the carrier. The three vans are red, white and blue. The van on the top in the picture is the blue one. I did not see the sports car in the box.

Some good memories.

What were your favorite toys?
