Wednesday Image Search – Mar

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘lar.’ This week I will proceed to ‘mar.’

What images will I find?

Sands Hotel and Casino, ArtScience Museum, Singapore, Marina BayThe first image is of Marina Bay in Singapore. Some very iconic structures in this picture.

Korean Breakfeast, Fish Market, Busan, South KoreaThe next image is at the Jagalchi Fish Market in Busan, South Korea. A lot of beautiful fresh caught fish and sea food for sale. Here one of the workers is having breakfast. It really looked good.

Christmas Market, Jena Germany, snow, Christmas TimeHere we have snow falling on the Christmas Market in Jena, Germany.

israel, shephelah, bet guvrin, water, treeThis picture was taken in Shephelah of Israel. These are rope marks on an old well that would have been used to water the flocks.

Martin Luther Gravestone, Jena, Germany, Original Gravestone, St. Michael's churchFinally, we have a picture of what was to have been the grave plate of Martin Luther. The grave plate never made it to his grave, but was held up in Jena, Germany because of a war. It hangs in the city church there to this day.

There were quite a few  ‘mar’ pictures to choose from. It is interesting to see what words or names included ‘mar’ in them .  I hope you enjoyed my selections.

Which is your favorite of these ‘mar’ pictures?

What should I search for next?  Since I am following a series with ‘?ar’  the next one will probably be ‘nar’ even though I don’t have too many to choose from.

Oak Island – Nothing New

Season 10 of The Curse of Oak Island continues to show new discoveries and theories.

However, this week on Oak Island there was nothing new as they did not air a new episode.

They did re-show some previous episodes to keep the fans interested and get them excited for the next episode that will air next week.

Curse of Oak Island, History Channel, Did they find anything?Of course, one thing to remember is that the dig season is already over. They have taken the time to determine how to present things each week to build suspense and keep viewers tuned in.

oak Island, Money Pit, Mahone Bay

I have a very busy week and am having horrible commutes a good week to skip airing a new episode. A retaining wall collapse on my commute route is doubling my time to drive home.

Oak Island, Knights Templar, Britain, Simon BrightonI decided to do a bit of research on the Knights Templar tonight, as I am sure they will mention more about them soon. I found a good book at the library book sale. In Search of the Knights Templar; A Guide to the Sites of Britain by Simon Brighton is a good reference book. It is full of interesting pictures of Templar sites in Britain. I includes pictures of the cave in Royston, England that was looked at in a previous episode. See: Oak Island – A Cave in England

Curse of Oak Island, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia

Last week in the preview of the next episode they showed them starting to excavate the quadrilateral.  They mentioned a layer of clay that should not have been where it was found, but not the exact location. Perhaps it was underneath the quadrilateral. They showed the finding of an object and later something, possibly the object, was identified as being Portuguese from perhaps the 15th or the 16th century.

oak island, curse of oak lsland, satellite, money pitThe next episode will be A Quadrilateral Move and will air next week.

What will they find under the quadrilateral. The description of the episode hints at something special.
