Wednesday Image Search – Cir

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘bir’ so this week I will continue on with ‘cir’. There will be some gaps in this sequence as not all combinations will find images.

What images will I find?

Shanghai Circus - Acrobatic Show - Acrobats - Shanhai Huxi Theater - Shanghai, ChinaThe first image is from a Chinese Circus that I went to in Shanghai just after Y2K.

sunset, lobeda west, jena germany, circle plazaHere is a sunset through a circular opening in a park in Lobeda, Germany.

Circus Train, Krone Circus, Model RailroadHere are some model train cars with a circus theme. This is from a modular train layout that comes to a local museum each year. However, it has not been here since the beginning of the pandemic. I hope it will return this year.

DNA Circle, Amish DNA, Amish GeneaologyHere is a big DNA Circle from Ancestry.com. This is no longer a feature, but it was fun to look at DNA connections in this format.

Circular Pyramid - Cuicuilico - Mesoamerican culture - Valley of Mexico - Pyramid CultureFinally we have a circular pyramid in Mexico City. The pyramid is known as Cuicuilco and is believed by some to be the oldest structure in the Americas.

There were not too many ‘cir’ pictures to choose from. I hope you enjoyed my selections.

Which is your favorite of these ‘cir’ pictures?

What should I search for next?  I will probably continues a series with ‘dir’ as the next one. However there a a lot of ‘?ir’ combinations with no search results.

Oak Island – Knights

Season 10 of The Curse of Oak Island is over and it is time to look forward to the next season.

During the off season I plan on doing some research reading.

Tonight I will share a few more of the books that I have read or plan to read before the next season of The Curse of Oak Island.

I will not go into much detail on the books, but will mention why they are on my research reading list.

Templar, Holy War, Knight, Knights Templar, research reading, oak islandI will start with The Knight in History  by Frances Gies. The history of knights begins not long before the first crusades and follows it through the 15th century. It will be interesting to see what this book says about the military orders and the Knights Templar.

Templar, Holy War, Knight, Knights Templar, research reading, oak islandHoly War: The Crusades and their Impact on Today’s World by Karen Armstrong looks at how the Crusades set the stage for conflicts that continue to this day. Will whatever is found at Oak Island shed more light on the Crusades?

Templar, Holy War, Knight, Knights Templar, research reading, oak islandThe Templar Revelation: Secret Guardians of the True Identity of Christ by Lynn Picknett & Clive Prince looks at one of the possible secrets that the Knights Templar may have been protecting. Will Oak Island shed some light on some of their secrets?

I have many more books on my list that are both non-fiction and fiction. I will share more of them in future Tuesday posts.
