The Next Wandering II

This week I found out for sure where my next wandering will take me.

Air Canada Jet, Toronto Airport, Pearson Airport, Flying HomeIn early March I will be taking a trip north to Toronto, Canada.

The trip will be a short one, but luckily I will be able to spend a couple days with some friends before the class that I teach.

Snow Scene, April 3 Snow, April Snow Storm, Canada Snow, Spring SnowI am wondering if it will snow while I am there. In early March there is a good possibility.

Snow Flurries, Robin, Signs of Spring, Canadian SpringIn a trip there two years ago there were signs of spring in April and at the same time snow flurries.

Tim Hortons, Canada, Breakfast, Coffee, sausage biscuitI will be looking forward to my breakfast at Tim Hortons before class each day.

Wonderpho, Pho Cari, Vietnamese FoodHowever, I will not get to eat at WonderPho as it closed down before my last trip. It will be interesting to see what other changes there will be in the restaurants near the office. Perhaps there will be some new places to try.

Westin Prince Toronto Canada - Flower Clock - Fall Colors - Floral ClockIt will definitely be too early for a colorful flower clock at the hotel I will be staying at. Westin Prince, Flower clock, Toronto Canada, Spring time, Flower PlantingIt will look more like this, but the grass will probably not be green.

I am really looking forward to the trip as it has been too long since my last visit.

Have you been to Toronto?

Saturday Night Wandering Thoughts

Here I am on Saturday night with no good idea for a blog post, so here are a few of my wandering thoughts.

Paradise Bay Antarctica - Ice and Snow in Antarctica - Antarctica rock reflectionI will start with a picture that I took in Antarctica. A couple days ago I found out that one of my Facebook friends, who was on the same cruise, is about to visit there again. She is in Buenos Aires and will be sailing tomorrow for the Falkland Islands. It has me thinking about the wonderful trip that I took with my sister. I may just have to think of going there again.

National Popcorn Day, Microwave PopcornHmm, yesterday was National Popcorn Day. I am still having popcorn memories tonight.

Jules Vern, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Penguin Popular Classics. Book CollectionYesterday I found another Penguin Popular Classics that I didn’t have in my collection. This imprint is from England and I don’t run across them very often as they are now out of print.

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne is the 70th title in my collection.

Penguin Popular Classics, Paperbacks, Penguin Books, European Books, Used BooksI now have four shelves full of Penguin Popular Classics. I really like the way they look on the shelf.

Waddle of Penguins in the Falkland Islands - Magelannic Penguins - Yorke Bay -Magellanic penguins, Spheniscus magellanicus - Gypsy CoveThinking of penguins, here is a waddle of penguins in the Falkland Islands. I took the picture on my cruise to Antarctica. Hmm, my memories are going in circles.

CoCo Curry House, Ichibanya, Ton Katsu, Rice, Curry, Japanese CuisineEarly this week a colleague of mine asked me some travel questions about a trip he is taking to Tokyo and I got me thinking about one of my favorite places to eat when I visit there. I need to get back to Tokyo and eat at The Curry House.

Chinese New Year, New Year Tree, Paper Cuttings, Red and Yellow, ChinaI have also been thinking about the Chinese New Year which is a little less than a month away. I have been getting a lot of visits to my Chinese New Year Decorations post. I also saw a display of Chinese New Year items at World Market earlier today.

Lunch, Chinese Food, Shanghai Food, Chinese CuisineThis is now making me think of Chinese Food and I am getting hungry. So, I will stop writing and get this posted so I can have a quick snack before bed 🙂
