Wednesday Image Search – Hir

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘gir’ so this week I will continue on with ‘hir’. There will be some gaps in this sequence as not all combinations will find images.

What images will I find?

t-shirts, memories, events, places, shirtsThe first image is from a t-shirt that brings back a lot of memories. The Great Race in Ashland, Kansas was an event that took place several times back in the 1980’s.

Third Breakfast, Eggs, Sausage, Business Class, UnitedHere was a third breakfast during a trip long ago. By the time I had breakfast on my flight home I already had eaten breakfast at the hotel and at the airport.

Old Restaurant, Roter Hirsch, Jena, Germany, 500 year old restaurantNext we have a picture of the Rother Hirsch restaurant in Jena, Germany. This is the oldest restaurant I have eaten at. It has been a restaurant since 1509.

Red Shirts, Mark Hall-Patton Costume, Pawn Stars, HalloweenHere are some red shirts. I was trying to figure out which one to wear as part of a costume.

Ichiro Suzuki, Japan, Tokyo, Bus Stop, BaseballFinally we have a bus stop in Tokyo, Japan with an advertisement featuring Ichiro Suzuki.

There were quite a few ‘hir’ pictures to choose from. I hope you enjoyed my selections.

Which is your favorite of these ‘hir’ pictures?

What should I search for next?  I will probably continue the ‘*ir’ series but not sure what the next letter will be since there are very few images for the next ones in the series.

Agapanthus Past Prime

As summer has started my Agapanthus plant has started to fade.

Agapanthus, Flowers Fading, Blooms Falling, HorticultureThe plant is now past prime and the blossoms are slowly wilting.

Agapanthus, Flowers Fading, Blooms Falling, HorticultureThey still look pretty good from a distance, but close up you can see that they are starting to fade away.

Agapanthus, Flowers Fading, Blooms Falling, HorticultureSeed pods are also starting to form as the flowers slowly fade away.

Agapanthus, Flowers Fading, Blooms Falling, HorticultureSome of the scapes have also drooped almost to the ground.

Agapanthus, Flowers Fading, Blooms Falling, HorticultureI have never tried to grow an Agapanthus plant from seeds, but perhaps I will do some research to see if it is possible.
