Oak Island – Knights Templar Today?

Season 10 of The Curse of Oak Island is over and it is time to look forward to the next season.

During the off season I have been doing some research reading.

One of the things I have been looking at is the history of the Knights Templar and also whether they still exist today

There have been stories of continued existence of the Knights Templar including the possible existence and succession of underground Grand Masters. The history and continued existence of the Knights Templar are also common subjects in the adventure genre.

Curse of Oak Island, Templars, Templar Novels, Historical Fiction, off season readingA good example is the novel The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry.

Templar, Holy War, Knight, Knights Templar, research reading, oak islandAnother common topic with Templars is hidden secrets. The Templar Revelation: Secret Guardians of the True Identity of Christ by Lynn Picknett & Clive Prince looks at one of the possible secrets that the Knights Templar may have been protecting. Will Oak Island shed some light on some of their secrets?

Oak Island, templars, books, Freemasonry, research readingOne of the most mentioned successors to the Knights Templar are the Freemasons. Although I don’t believe they were direct successors I do believe that the remnants of the Knights Templar were involved in the creation of the Freemasons.

Dungeon, Fire, & Sword, Knights Templar, Jerusalem, Crusades, History, BooksThe Knights Templar were officially disbanded in the early 1300’s by Pope Clement V, but I believe that there were remnants that survived for some time after. There are of course stories about their vast amount of resources that were never seen again. Were they secreted away with the locations lost to time?

An intriguing thought is whether there are secret Knights Templar still existing today that are keeping an eye on Oak Island and the activities taking place there. Would they step in and take action if their treasure is close to being found? I really do not think this is the case, but it would make for a great story 🙂 Think of the Indiana Jones movies and the protectors of different treasures that try to keep them from being found.

I am sure that there are some groups out there that may believe that they keep alive the legacy of the Knights Templar, but are they the keepers of their secrets? I believe that any secrets were lost long ago.

Do you think the Knights Templar were involved with Oak Island?

Girl Toys

One of the things that we always seem to remember from our childhood is toys. The week before last I wrote a post where I shared some of the toys I had while growing up. I decided it was time to show some of the toys my sister had. See: Thursday Toys

I am not sure why the previous picture is in color and that this one is in black and white. Perhaps some one else took the color picture at a party later in the day as these two gifts are in both pictures. We were both young during that transition time between the two formats.

Here is my sister baking a cake in her Easy Bake Oven. I remember eating some of her creations 🙂

Lots of memories in these pictures.
