This year I am a bit late pruning my roses. I have been busy with work and it is usually raining on the weekend.
Plus it is hard to prune back my roses when they still have blooms on them.
Yesterday I did finally prune one of my roses as I had to do some yard work to remove a limb off of the neighbor’s tree. It was rattling in the wind against one of my windows.
My Mister Lincoln rose bush looks almost like this now. I need to cut back some more to have it look like this.
The other roses still look more like this, and it is time to get them pruned. Perhaps this weekend if it doesn’t rain again.
They will look more like this when I am done, although the green bushes are no longer there.
I did prune my rose bush in the back yard near the end of last year, but it may need some more trimming as it has already started growing back. I didn’t do the final prune on it when I cut it back earlier.
I may have been able to prune a bit more yesterday, but the yard waste bin was full. Luckily, the bin gets picked up every week now. Since food waste goes in the organic bin they decided it must get picked up weekly. Only the recyclables skip a week between pickups now.
