The next destination on my Virtual Hike was Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
The previous destination on my virtual hike was Danville, Kentucky.
A lot of the route was along narrow tree lined roads.
There were also some interesting barns along the way.
At times the route also went along small rivers.
Finally the virtual hike made it to the Hardin County History Museum in Elizabethtown.
This would be where I would go to see if I could find out more information about my ancestors who lived in the county.
My 3rd Great Grand Father Thomas Bolin was born there in 1808. At about the same time Abraham Lincoln was born there. Perhaps they knew each other at kids as both families moved on the Perry County, Indiana at about the same time.

My 3rd Great Grand Mother Emily Bunt was born in Elizabethtown in 1833, so both branches of my family came through the area in the early 1800’s.
The next stop on my Virtual Hike is going to be a bit further west where I will cross the Ohio River into Indiana. I will go a bit out of the way to pass an interesting place on the way.
In Indiana I will virtually stop at more places with family connections.
