The Curse of Oak Island season 11 did not have a new episode this week but there was a Drilling Down episode about Lot 5. I was interested to see if they would get back to the Templars in the recap of what has happened there.

The causeway to the island has been busy in Season 11 as they restart investigations and bring in equipment and experts to consult with.

Tonight they reviewed some of the happenings on Lot 5, and did talk a bit about the Templars, but not with the same excitement that they have before.

It has been interesting that in the last couple of episode the have not talked about the Templars at all?

Will the Templar pause continue in the new episode next week?

The shared the fact the the circular structure was at least partially created by the previous owner of Lot 5. Perhaps to outline and protect workings from hundreds of years ago.

The narrative then shifted to William Phips who was know to be in the area in the 1600’s. Perhaps he reused older structures to help hide treasure he recovered from a shipwreck in the Caribbean.

It is also interesting that the Wikipedia article for Phips has been expanded in the last weeks.

Some of the dates from the Money Pit and Garden Shaft area are lining up with dates from Lot 5, which definitely points to some connections. I am sure that more will be made of these in future episodes.

At the circular stone structure the archaeology team has been finding more and more metal objects, which are adding to the connections to other areas of the Island.

They also have some data which will lead to more digging fro structures.

I mentioned that they did talk about the Templars in this Digging Down episode, but the connections were minimized and not talked about as much as before.

They did not show a preview of the episode next week, but I went back to what I wrote last week where they did show a preview.

In the preview for next week they showed some more excitement as they again dropped a camera down a bore hole into Aladdin’s Cave. They also showed some excitement in the Garden Shaft with mention of an offset chamber.  Did they run into a void?
