This week has seemed very long as I am still a bit jet lagged. One rule of thumb is that you need a day for each time zone crossed to recover from jet lag. If that is the case, I still am only half way back to normal.
Last Saturday I took two flights to cross ten time zones. It was a 34 Hour Day by the time it was over.
On top of that it has been a very busy week at work with multiple meetings and teaching a short course yesterday.
Being at home in my own bed instead of a hotel room has helped some, but I have not been able to sleep through the night until last night.
Spending a lot of time in the office this week has been good as I have been able to get caught up on things from the trip, but the commute has not been fun while a bit jet lagged.
I am sure that I will be back in the swing of things soon as I will get some rest over the weekend. The swing of things makes me think of the Giant Swing in Bangkok. Perhaps I will write about it sometime this weekend. Can you imagine swinging from this structure? They used to as part of a ritual, but it was discontinued since it was so dangerous.
