Last weekend I visited the Flower Market in Bangkok.
I took the metro to the center of the city to visit some sites I had visited 20 years ago. When I reached the destination metro station I saw a lot of people carrying fresh flowers so I thought it might be interesting to visit the nearby Flower Market.
When I first walked into the market I saw stacks and stacks of onions and other vegetables. The market was a combination vegetable and flower market.
There were row after row of booths full of flowers and vegetables. It seemed that the heart of the market was for wholesale items.
As I walked through the market there was a lot of different colors and a wide variety of presentations.
On the periphery of the market there seemed to be better presentations of flowers and these seemed to be more for the retail market.
There were a lot of beautiful flowers, including this wonderful display of mostly roses.
After the visit to the flower market I then went to explore a temple complex that I had visited twenty years ago.
