Tonight we had a dinner after class to welcome me and the students to the course.

Of course we had Thai food, but wouldn’t all food here be Thai food?

I am a bit tired tonight after a long day, so mainly just pictures tonight.

We went to eat at a place called Nathong. It is most likely a place I ate at 20 years ago, but it looked much different now. The important thing was that it had good food.

I started with some coconut juice.  Not my favorite juice, but an interesting presentation.

We then had a progression of plates of Thai food. I am not going to attempt the names of them.

There were some different seafood, fish and vegetable dishes. Including some whole fish. Also some different soups.

Here you see me surrounded by some of the food. Do you see the whole deep fried fishes to the left? The fish was delicious.

We ended with a couple of desserts and then it was back to the hotel. I am ready to head to bed after the long day.
