This week I have had some Eagle Scout memories.
The first memory comes from my Eagle Scout project. My project was to help organize the move of books from the old library in our town to a newly constructed one down the street.
After the move I continued to volunteer weekly at the new library helping at the desk and shelving books.
I also remember the opening of the library and played with the band during the ceremonies.
This weekend I saw pictures from a 40 year anniversary of the library, which brought back a lot of memories.
Then this week I received an e-mail from The National Eagle Scout Association wishing me a Happy Eagle Anniversary as my Eagle Board of Review took place 40 years ago.
Here I am receiving my Eagle award from the Scoutmaster. We held the Eagle Court of Honor at our church building.
This brings back so many memories of camp outs, hikes, climbing mountains and other Boy Scout activities that we took part in so many years ago.
One good memory is marching in the 4th of July Parade down Main Street multiple times during the years.
Lots of memories this week about scouting.
Were you a scout?
