Today I noticed it has been 11 years since my first trip to Israel, so I decided to share some pictures from that first trip.

The leader of our tour was Ferrell Jenkins, the first of two trips that I was to make with him.

I still remember that sunset on the first night in Israel exactly 11 years ago. See: Night at Netanya

I also remember a beautiful sunrise of the Sea of Galilee. See: Galilee Sea

There are so many memories from the trip as it was the first time I saw many of the places I have been back to. Here is Qumran which we saw when we were Well Below Sea Level at the Dead Sea.

Also seeing Lachish for the first time is a good memory. A place that I have spent a lot of time at since. I have spent four weeks digging there over the years.

Finally just before we headed to the airport for the trip home I was able to enjoy another beautiful sunset over the Mediterranean Sea.
