Today we had a potluck after morning services.

I had missed potlucks where people often bring their favorite foods and share them with others, so glad that they are back again.

It was a wonderful day for a potluck with cloudy skies, temperatures in the low 80’s and a breeze.

We had the potluck at an old barn in my friend’s orchard.

Before lunch I helped get things set up while waiting for others to arrive. While waiting I was able to sample a nice peach from one of the trees.

Since most of my friends have tried and true main dishes and dessert favorites that they bring, I usually bring thing like chips or other accompaniments. In the past I have tried to bring some favorites from my family or friends from back in the Midwest, but they usually get overlooked 🙂 So, now I usually just ask what I can pick up to fill gaps.

There was a lot of good food to choose from.

For this one we knew that hot dogs were being grilled, so a little bit different mix of food. However, there had to be deviled eggs. Is is truly a potluck without them?

Of course, I had to go back to the table for a plate of desserts. There were some good ones, especially the red dessert. This one had cherries in it and was delicious.

It was nice to spend time together and share a meal with friends.
