Wednesday Image Search – Pir

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘kir’ and ‘nir’ so this week I will continue on with ‘pir’. There will be some gaps in this sequence as not all combinations will find images.

What images will I find?

The Assyrian Empire, Don Nardo, World History Series, Research Reading, LachishThe first image is the book Assyrian Empire by Don Nardo. This was a book I read while doing some research reading on the History of the Middle East. It is a book at the school age level, but these are often great to just get an overview of a topic.

The Empire of the Ants, H. G. Wells, Mysteries, BooksHere is another book. I picked this up at a book sale after the cover caught my eye. The Empire of the Ants (and Other Stories) by H. G. Wells has some good stories in it.

Captain of the Carribean, Antalya, Turkey, MediteraneanNext we have a boat that I saw in the harbor at Antalya, Turkey. It was interesting to see a Pirates of the Caribbean themed boat in a harbor on the Mediterranean Sea.

Spirograph Instruction Book, Spirograph, Kahootz Toys, Art ToyHere we have an instruction booklet for the original Spirograph.

Small Spirograph Set, Denys Fisher, Bruno Abakanowicz, Toys, MemoriesFinally we have a Spirograph set. This brings back many memories of making designs with one back where we were kids.

There were only a few ‘pir’ pictures to choose from, which is why the last two pictures are closely related. I hope you enjoyed my selections.

Which is your favorite of these pictures?

What should I search for next?  I will probably continue the ‘*ir’ series but not sure what the next letter will be since there are very few images for the next ones in the series.
