Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.
Last week I searched for ‘hir’ so this week I will continue on with ‘kir’ and ‘mir’. There will be some gaps in this sequence as not all combinations will find images. This week I will search for two strings of letters as neither one of them have many matches.
What images will I find?
The first image is a map showing Markirch where Jacob Amman lived at one time in Alsace. See: The Mystery of Jacob Amman
Here is the Stadtkirche or City Church of Jena, Germany. I have visited this building many times over the years. It has a connection to Martin Luther.
Next we have the cover of The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton. Of the images found in the search this one come closest to a food connection. I used this picture to illustrate a quote about Tea.
Lily, with the flavour of Selden’s caravan tea on her lips, had no great fancy to drown it in the railway brew which seemed such nectar to her companion; but, rightly judging that one of the charms of tea is that fact of drinking it together, she proceeded to give the last touch to Mr. Gryce’s enjoyment by smiling at him across her lifted cup.
See: Book and Tea Quotes
Here is a view in the mirror of my car. There was a large fire off the side of the road behind me.
Finally we have an interesting picture from the local Rose Garden. There is a large structure covered by pottery and mirror pieces in the middle of the garden. There is an interesting reflection in this picture.
There were not many ‘kir’ and ‘mir’ pictures to choose from. I hope you enjoyed my selections.
Which is your favorite of these pictures?
What should I search for next? I will probably continue the ‘*ir’ series but not sure what the next letter will be since there are very few images for the next ones in the series.
